Appeal after car crashes into shop in Beccles

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Beccles where a car went into the front of a shop.

Officers were called at just before 8pm on Tuesday 16 December, to reports a silver BMW 325 had collided into the front of New Look in Smallgate, Beccles.

A significant amount of damage was caused to the building and structural engineers were required to attend and assess the extent of it.

The driver was reported to have made off from the scene and so officers immediately began enquiries to locate them. Efforts to establish who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident are ongoing.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
